Kutia Wigilijna, or Christmas Cooked Wheat Pudding,
consisting of whole or cracked wheat (rice for the aristocracy!), honey
and nuts (and sometimes raisins, poppyseeds and cream) is typically the
first course served at the Christmas Eve dinner known as wigilia.
